Throughout her career, she has set up profitable desks from scratch, run teams, run recruitment businesses and is one of the highest billing consultants ever in the industry, selling over $56 million in one year in major sales

 

Her passion is to help recruitment firms and corporate clients stay at the cutting edge of employment and retention trends, offering coaching; training; and management consulting.

My Story

I have been in the recruitment industry since 1989. As a young graduate, I fell into a career in recruitment and developed my skills by watching others more successful than me. I climbed the ranks from trainee consultant to consultant, manager and state manager, building many desks from scratch.

In the early 2000’s I came off a desk and joined Adecco in their highly successful major sales team where I was responsible for securing multi-million dollar contracts in the banking and finance sector. My budget in this role was in the millions of dollars and I am proud of my success, selling $56 million worth of business in less than a year before becoming the NSW Sales Manager, assisting the business development teams in NSW. I developed my skill base by watching, reading and learning in the days before training by external specialists was available.

In 2001, I set up the highly successful Recruitment Training Company and ran this business until 2019 providing the following services to recruiters in Australia; Singapore; New Zealand and the UK. I trained thousands of recruiters and worked with many businesses in a management consulting role.

I provided the following services:

  • Skills training for specific recruitment agencies

  • Training for recruiters via the RCSA and ITCRA

  • Training via “Off the shelf” skills workshops

  • Coaching and mentoring to individual recruiters

  • Consulting services — responsible for specific outcomes within small-medium size recruitment businesses

  • Counselling to recruiters with specific issues that hindered their success

  • Content for recruitment Australian and global publications – I have had over 200 articles published in journals all over the world.

  • Keynote speaker on recruitment related topics such as talent shortages, engagement and retention in Australia, NZ and the UK.


Some of you may have seen or heard me in the media discussing issues such as how social media fits into the recruitment space; talent attraction and retention.
 
In 2011, I set up and am currently Managing Director of HomeCare Australia www.homecareaustralia.com.au which provides staff to the aged and disability sectors in NSW and Queensland.

As a proud and successful recruiter with 35+ years of experience, I have experienced changing markets, talent shortages; recessions and most recently a global pandemic.
